We are excited to announce that we are actually expanding the tent! We are returning to the Cooper Family Juneteenth Freedom Festival in Memorial Park on June 15, 2024 with not only Playing Together Project, but volunteers from two synagogues, and last year’s partner, Anti Defamation League San Diego (ADL San Diego) but we are also going to have Lawrence Family JCC.
Not only will volunteers from Temple Emanu-El San Diego be in the tent, but also volunteers from Terefeth Israel.
We are working on asking a third synagogue and two other Jewish organizations join us in the tent.
Like 2023, we will have educational displays, cards with QR codes to educational videos, materials on anti-hate (for all groups) a wonderful display board of Black Jewish people and festival-goers will be able to sign up for freedom shabbat dinners an our general mailing list.
