I participated in a virtual town hall about it, with Rabbi David Saperstein, Professor Gates and several others,who spoke in great detail about the rise of antisemitisma dn anti-Black racism. They knew the numbers and the facts, They know the history and the fight in which we are engaged, both Jews and African Americans, to survive and live our lives in freedom and peace.
Out of it, I got some encouragement: hope and inspiration that feeds my sould in a time when it seems there is something new everyday. I see so much fear, anger and pain in both commuities; I see at times joy and hope. I am looking forward to seeing all the archival footage to know where we have come from and the interviews to see where we are and where are going as we move forward.
