We had a serious discussion about the shared legacies between Blacks and Jews as part of the “Stronger Together” weekend.
I listened to Dumisani Washington, it became clear that education about the alliance is key to helping ourselves in both communities. I was thankful for how our Jewish community pulled together all weekend and made a success of this scholar-in-residence weekend spotlighting Dumisani Washington and the message I hoped he would bring. He definitely brought the fire and the message later in the evening, as the keynote speaker for the Herzl dinner.
